FaithInvest congratulates Dr Lorna Gold on her appointment as Executive Director of the Laudato Si’ Movement – one of FaithInvest’s partners and the biggest and most consequential grassroots Catholic climate and environmental movement, with nearly 1,000 member organisations globally.
Lorna worked for FaithInvest for four years, first as Director of Movement Building and then as interim CEO. She stepped down in June to devote her time more fully to the Laudato Si’ Movement, of which she was Board Chair.
FaithInvest Executive Chair Dave Zellner said: 'During her time with FaithInvest, Lorna demonstrated an unwavering commitment to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our network benefited greatly from her dedication to addressing climate change as a systemic challenge.
'This appointment is a natural progression of her life's work, and we're confident she will continue to make meaningful contributions in advancing climate action through the Laudato Si' Movement.'
Lorna takes over the helm at LSM during a pivotal year: 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the seminal encyclical of Pope Francis, Laudato Si', and is a Jubilee Year in the Catholic world.
