A successful Impact Investing Summit was held by the JLens Investor Network, despite being forced to move online by the Covid-19 crisis. The Summit, which was hosted by UJA NY Jewish Federation, convened 500 participants over two days with eight sessions featuring 25 speakers and a wide range of topics.
FaithInvest's Director of Membership Nana Francois took part in the session on new multifaith collaborations in impact investing. She shared FaithInvest's approach to working with many different faiths to achieve the common goal of increasing faith-consistent investing, while respecting the richness and individuality of each tradition.
The other participants were Islamic finance expert Kavi Chawla, of Baton Global, who spoke about the expanding arena of Islamic finance; John O'Shaughnessy, of the Catholic Impact Investing Collaborative, and Rabbi Jacob Siegel, JLens's Director of Engagement, who moderated the session.
