The faiths have billions of dollars invested in financial markets in support of their missions. They use their financial resources to manage their schools and colleges, their hospitals and clinics, their refugee support and feeding programmes, as well as pay their staff and maintain their buildings and land.
This inspiring video of Martin Palmer, Secretary General of the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (which founded FaithInvest) sets in context a movement, led by the faiths, to increase the billions of religious dollars that are also invested in making a better world.
It was filmed at 2018's Impact Investment Summit in Zug, Switzerland, which was organised by the Swiss Impact Investment Association (SIIA), dubbed the 'TED talks of sustainability'.
